Every week, we see another video from the water off Gaza showing attacks against fishing vessels. These boats pose no risk to Israel, the strikes are not a defensive measure of any kind, the reality is that the water is still closed. Many in the media play down the fact that the mechanisms behind the famine are still in place, even if the technical level of famine isn't met across the Gaza Strip.
Since the classification of famine was lifted, it was replaced with a hunger that would force anyone reading this to driven to desperate measures to feed themselves. That's the thing about famine, it's the most extreme stage of food insecurity, but the end of a famine is not the same as a population able to feed itself.
